2nd Marking Period

ASSIGNMENT 11: In this assignment we created a flyer for an upcoming event. i used plastic text to make the title to my flyer, and set the blending options to my liking. I then adjusted the font size and style for my flyer details(print). Lastly i used gradient overlay for my background.

ASSIGNMENT 12: In this assignment, we used Photoshop to clip a new texture on an outfit. After finding my texture, I used the magnetic lasso to select the part of the outfit I want to put the texture in. Then I moved the texture layer on top of the outfit (enough to cover it). I created a clipping mask to fill the dress with the texture. That is how I created my galaxy inspired dress. http://www.tutorialboard.net/texture-layer-modes/

ASSIGNMENT 13: In this assignment we made a poster on Photo Shop to display healthier food choices. After choosing our item, we magnetic lassoed the part we wanted to clip onto the unhealthy food choice. Then pasted in to a new document. We then added text to our poster. To create the glow effect i went to the layer and modified the outer glow on the blending options. To bold out the text glow; I created a rectangle shape over my text, filled it with a light yellow color and changed the opacity. That is how I created my #changeonething poster. http://www.foodbanknyc.org

ASSIGNMENT 14: In this assignment we made a Photo shopped Jack'o lantern. We filled the background with black to make the pumpkin stand out. Then we changed the hue and saturation to make the pumpkin look animated. I then sketched the face of the Jack o lantern in with the pen tool. I created the glow look inside of the pumpkin by changing the blending options on each of the sketch layers. Lastly, i added the text and used a light orange and white color to shade a shadow underneath the pumpkin.                                   http://www.adobetutorialz.com/articles/3011/1/Happy-Halloween-Ideas

ASSIGNMENT 15a: In this assignment we used Photoshop to make flag detachment. I first got my flag and moved it and the brick onto the official document. I then used different filters(blur) for the brick layer, and changed the opacity on the flag layer to make the brick visible through the flag. I then used the displacement map and the distort filter to make the image appear distort. This makes the flag look like it is taking the shape of the brick. http://www.tutorialboard.net/create-a-painted-effect-look-with-displacement-maps-in-photoshop-cs4/

ASSIGNMENT 15b: In this assignment we used Photo shop to make a clip a flag onto a photo of ourselves. After opening both files, I moved the flag onto the photo. Then i changed the opacity of the flag and used the magnetic lasso to outline my face. Then I deleted excess flag parts and erased and smugged the flag over the remaining parts of my face to give to image an even look. http://www.tutorialboard.net/create-a-painted-effect-look-with-displacement-maps-in-photoshop-cs4/

ASSIGNMENT 16: In this assignment we used Photo Shop to create smart filters. Smart Filters allow us to adjust an image without compromising any pixel data. After selecting my means of transportation, I went to filter-blur-motion blur and changed the distance to 42. This made the car look as if it was moving fast. I then selected a soft brush and set my foreground color to black. I started to shade in the car to create the movement effect. Lastly I extended my image and put the before image on top. This showed the transformation of the smart filter. http://www.tutorialboard.net/understanding-and-using-smart-filters-in-photoshop-for-dynamic-adjustments/

ASSIGNMENT 17: In this assignment we used Photo shop to quickly mask an image. I used the singer/ rapper Iggy Azelea and changed her hair color. I first made sure my background color was white and my foreground color was black, and turned on the Quick Mask mode. Then, using the brush tool, I masked the part I wanted to change (hair). Then by switching the background and foreground colors, I was able to fade my mistakes. I then turned off the Quick Mask mode and filled the image. The last step was to change the opacity to make the color appear realistically. http://www.tutorialboard.net/using-a-quick-mask-to-make-a-detailed-selection/

ASSIGNMENT 18: In this assignment we used photo shop to soften the image. While doing this we made selected areas stand out. I selected around my eyes and mouth area to make them glow. I used the blur-Gaussian Blur filter then changed the px to 5.0. Then I changed the opacity on the image to lessen the blur of the filter. http://www.tutorialboard.net/add-a-soft-focus-effect-to-make-a-portrait-glow/

ASSIGNMENT 19: In this assignment we used Adobe Illustrator to create a drive.                                          http://www.tutorialboard.net/create-realistic-pendriveas-adobe-illustrator/

ASSIGNMENT 20: In this assignment we used Adobe Illustrator to create a wireless phone. To complete the phone I created many shapes that were filled with a linear gradient for gray to black or gray to a darker shade of gray. We also had to create many different paths that were offsetted to make a different size of the same exact shape. Then to create the look we added details to the phone. This made it look real.http://vector.tutsplus.com/tutorials/illustration/how-to-create-a-stylish-wireless-phone/
